PRAYER ALERT! William is 3 months and 2+ weeks old today!

Unless the Lord intervenes very soon, Baby William could be faced with the need for additional surgery on his eyes to prevent retina detachment. There has been a referral of a specialist in Michigan. However, Joshua and Noelle are inquiring about other possible alternatives that would result in the best outcome for their baby, realizing air transport of William at this time would present significant complications. Foremost in mind is that additional surgery, coupled with air transport, would considerably delay his overall recovery and release from the hospital (i.e., return to the ventilator, anesthesia, etc.).

 

At this time, the recovery of his eyes could go either way, since there is no apparent detachment presently. We are very encouraged in the Lord about William's amazing progress in so many other regards, and  it is our fervent prayer that he would not be faced with any setback. We most humbly call upon everyone to in turn, call upon the name of the Lord God, our Healer—that His glory would be revealed in this situation, and that He would grant...

 

a.  total healing of William's eyes by preventing any retina detachment and need for further surgery.

b.  wisdom to Josh and Noelle for any decisions regarding this concern and others.

c.  continued steady recovery for William's early release.

d.  and resolution to an unspoken prayer request.

 

Because the Word declares of Christ's character—"He hath made His wonderful works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and full of compassion" (Psalm 111:4); therefore, in times of trouble the believer is assured that "he shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD" (Psalm 112:7).
